Sookie is an English Cream Golden Retriever who was born in 2009. At just 3 months old, Sookie's owners knew she was something special. Despite being a very young puppy, Sookie took to her 'basic training' lessons very well and had a calm and loving temperament. Sookie was going to be a great therapy dog. She started the therapy dog training as one of the youngest dogs to go through the program. She started working at just a year old! Now, at just two years old, Sookie loves traveling all over Austin to be with people. Her favorite spot is Cunningham Elementary school, where Sookie visits with lots and lots of children during her therapy time. She just loves the attention, secretly wishing she was a lap dog. She's a huge fan of the Lake Travis community, and tries to make all the LTISD events, where dogs are allowed. Last week, Sookie attended the LT homecoming parade and pep rally, where she stole the show (in her owner's opinion). She is an English Golden Retriever and lives in Lakeway with her family of boys, another golden retriever, and an orange cat named Kevin. Sookie is looking forward to a long and full life with Divine Canines.
