Handlers: Robert and Terry Cardwell

Rose is a Tibetan Mastiff mix who was rescued from Town Lake Animal Center as a little fluff ball covered in burrs in 1998. Rose spends her spare time chasing squirrels, barking at birds, chasing her siblings, or taking a much deserved nap on a tile floor. Her passion lies with her therapy work. She loves having children walk her, being hugged as a teddy bear, and has happily allowed children to do some imaginative hairdos with her fur. Now that she is a more senior dog she focuses her visits to Becket Meadows and St. Elmo’s elementary with a slower pace. Even though her sprint has slowed down, the mere sound of her therapy vest coming out quickens it back up – there is nothing more Rose would prefer to do then her Divine Canine’s work.
