Handler: Ginger Gladden
Lucy, is a 2 year old golden doodle. She is named Lucy because of her red hair (named after Lucille Ball). She was the runt of the litter and enjoyed having "tea parties" with the breeder's children before being adopted. Her mommy was a red poodle and her daddy was a golden retriever. Lucy has two older "sisters", a golden retriever named Mesa that is 14 or 15 (we don't know as she was a rescue) and Bailey another golden doodle that is 5.Lucy LOVES children. She comes to school with her mommy at least 2 days out of the month. Her mommy's students read to her at school or help them do their work. (Mommy works with dyslexic students and students that have trouble with reading.) Lucy also shows the children how she can read Although she can't verbalize the words she can show us what they mean. It takes a lot of practice. We are looking forward to helping more children read!
