Lucchese was found on a county road chasing a van. She was in decent condition so it appeared that she had not been abandoned for long. She now has training in search and rescue, is a member of a homeland defense/SAR unit, has flown in an airplane, and ridden on subway trains, escalators, and kayaks. She adores people and loves doing therapy dog work. Her name - Lucchese - is a brand of cowboy boot that is known for its high quality and level of craftsmanship. It was chosen because she has white 'boots' on her front legs, and she is, of course, a top quality canine.
