Lacy came to Austin in a big truck full of 25 other Katrina rescues in November 2005. Her soon-to-be owner noticed her right away as the volunteers helped to unload and take care of dogs that had made the long trip to Texas. Lacy had such a sweet face and demeanor that when her foster parent arrangement fell through, her soon-to-be owner took her home that night, and they have been together ever since. As a divine canine, her favorite visits are the ones to see children.
