Handler: Sarah Moore Dudley came to me with his brother at 4 weeks old from Austin Pets Alive. I had signed up to be a foster mom a week before I got a call from APA, begging me to come and take as many puppies from an abandoned litter at Town Lake Animal Shelter as I could. I agreed to take the two tick infested boys and then began my journey with the silliest dog that I've ever met. We like to joke that Dudley thinks he's a cat because our moody cat, Cujo, played a huge role in raising this strange pup. A typical day at our house consists of Dudley and the cat gnawing and licking each other by the fireplace. Dudley's mom was a chow mix, but you would never know it by looking at him except for the black spots on his tongue. He loves to be outdoors and especially likes the Air Scenting class at the Canine Center for Training and Behavior. But most of all, he loves to give and receive love from the people that he is with. Dudley has even played an important roll in helping our other dog, Lola, learn that people are A-OK. |
